Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Pastel Artist
Art has always been my passion. I can not remember a time when I was not thinking about drawing. My attitude was if God created it or man made it then surely I can draw or paint it.
I was fortunate enough to attend Arts High School, the nation’s first art magnet high school, followed by Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts, where professional artist taught in their field. There I met my husband who was a fine art major, I was a fashion major. I put aside my short career as an illustrator to raise a family of five children. During that time I continued to do freelance art work while substitute teaching. After twenty fine years I returned to college to complete my BFA degree in art education at Maryland Institute College of Art.
I owned and operated a photography business specializing in weddings, family portraits, model portfolios, and boudoir, m son now the owner. We have received many awards in the Maryland Professional Photography organization. Striving for perfection, I attended the Schuler School of Fine Art, which helped me develop my portraits to a more professionally polished lever. My cut is always half full. I do not know what the future holds, but I would like to show the world what I see through my paintings. I would also like to own a school and teach those who have my passion.
I am a member of the American Society of Classical Realism, Charcoal Club, Oil Painters of America, Pastel Society, Plein air Painters of America, and the Who’s Who of American Women since 2000.
Many of my works are owned by private collectors throughout the United States.
