Stuart Fleishman
Mixed Media Artist
Stuart Fleishman's love of nature and his surroundings have always greatly influenced him as an artist. The vibrant colors evident in his works are the result of a unique technique he uses through acrylics and water color washes on "yupo", a poly-carbonite surface. The results are immediately visualized through his portrayals of fantasy-like images as displayed in still lifes, landscapes, sea scapes, and portraits.
Stuart was born in Fayetteville, NC, where discovered his love and talent for art, which has now become is way of life. His opportunity to study at the Institute of Allende in San Miguel, Mexico, led him to accomplish the techniques he uses, along with his use of briliant yellows, purples, oranges, and other colors, so often visual in the Southwest. Summers spent in San Miguel and the many workshops he has attended, as far away as Berkley, CA, have enabled him to excel while he explored his true love of art. These experiences are evident in the colorful acrylics and soft pastels he now has on display in galleries and homes throughout the Carolinas.
Fleishman has spent the past 20 years in Myrtle Beach, SC pursuing his love for painting and creating pottery . He has won numerous awards at juried shows including those at Burroughs and Chapin and the Waccamaw Guild. Stuart has shared his talents by teaching for the last 7 years in the area. His beautiful and unique works of art are currently on display in various galleries in Myrtle Beach, and, most recently, at Art Nouveau Gallery and Studio.
